FFL INFORMATION

Certain products sold by JRC Guns must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee rather than directly to the customer. This includes complete custom muzzleloaders built by JRC Guns.

Customers are responsible for selecting a qualified receiving dealer and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

PRODUCTS REQUIRING AN FFL TRANSFER

The following products must be shipped to a receiving FFL dealer:

  • Complete custom muzzleloaders built by JRC Guns
  • Complete firearms, if offered in the future
  • Serialized receivers or frames, if offered in the future
  • Any other product legally classified as a firearm

Nonregulated parts, accessories, optics, and other eligible products may be shipped directly to the customer's address.

HOW THE TRANSFER PROCESS WORKS

  1. 1

Select and contact a receiving dealer

Before placing an order for an FFL-required product, contact a local FFL dealer and confirm that the dealer:

    • Is willing to receive the shipment
    • Will perform the required transfer
    • Accepts the specific type of firearm being ordered
    • Understands any applicable state or local restrictions
    • Has provided you with its transfer fee and pickup requirements

JRC Guns is not responsible for fees charged by the receiving dealer.

  2. 2

    Place the order

The purchaser's name and contact information should identify the actual intended recipient of the firearm. The receiving dealer may require the name on the order to correspond with the individual completing the transfer paperwork.

No person may purchase a firearm for someone who is legally prohibited from receiving or possessing it.

  3. 3

    Submit the dealer's FFL

Ask the selected dealer to email a legible, current copy of its FFL to [email protected]. The email should include your name and JRC order number.

JRC will verify the license before shipping. An expired, illegible, incomplete, or unverifiable license may delay the order.

  4. 4

JRC ships to the licensed dealer

FFL-required products will be shipped only to the licensed premises address shown on the receiving dealer's FFL unless another destination is legally permitted and approved by JRC.

Regulated products will not be shipped to a customer's residential or personal address.

Orders requiring an FFL transfer are generally processed within 3–10 business days after JRC receives and verifies the dealer's license. Custom-build completion time is separate and will be communicated to you.

  5. 5

    Complete the transfer

The receiving dealer will contact you after the shipment arrives. The dealer will complete the applicable ATF Form 4473, identification review, background-check process, and any additional state or local requirements before releasing the firearm.

The receiving dealer — not JRC's website — makes the final determination about whether the transfer may be completed.

FFL NOT RECEIVED

JRC should receive the selected dealer's FFL within 14 days after the order is placed.

If the license is not received within 14 days, JRC will attempt to contact the customer. JRC may hold or cancel the order if a valid receiving license is not provided.

If the order is cancelled, the refund will be issued to the original payment method, less any actual nonrecoverable expenses already incurred by JRC. No restocking fee will be charged.

DEALER FEES

The receiving dealer establishes its own transfer fee, storage charges, background-check fees, and other service fees. These charges are separate from the JRC Guns order and must be paid directly to the receiving dealer. Customers should confirm all dealer fees before ordering.

DENIED OR INCOMPLETE TRANSFERS

JRC Guns does not guarantee that a customer will pass a background check or otherwise qualify to receive a firearm.

If a transfer is denied, cancelled, abandoned, refused by the receiving dealer, or cannot legally be completed:

  • The firearm must remain with the receiving dealer.
  • The customer must not ask the dealer to release it to another person without prior written authorization and legal approval.
  • The customer or dealer must contact JRC at [email protected] for instructions.
  • A firearm must never be returned to JRC without written return authorization and shipping instructions.
  • The customer is responsible for the receiving dealer's fees, return-shipping charges, storage fees, and other nonrecoverable expenses unless the problem resulted from an error by JRC.
  • After JRC receives and inspects the returned product, any approved refund will be issued to the original payment method, less the applicable nonrecoverable expenses.
  • JRC does not charge a restocking fee.

Refund processing follows the Returns & Refunds Policy: JRC processes approved refunds within 5–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected, although the customer's financial institution may take additional time to post the credit.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY AND LEGAL RESTRICTIONS

The customer is responsible for confirming that the ordered product is legal to purchase, receive, own, and possess in the customer's state and locality.

JRC Guns may decline, hold, or cancel an order when:

  • The product is prohibited at the destination
  • A receiving dealer cannot be verified
  • The selected dealer refuses the transfer
  • Required information is missing
  • JRC reasonably believes the transaction cannot lawfully be completed

JRC will not ship a regulated product when doing so would violate federal, state, or local requirements.
